Tinkerbell Party Planning

Planning a Tinkerbell Party

Since her introduction in 1953, Tinkerbell, the impish fairy friend of Walt Disney’s Peter Pan, has been taking the world by storm. Particularly loved by little girls, Tink, as she is more affectionately called, has inspired her own line of merchandise and the approval of parents internationally. Perhaps it is her mischievous ways that make the tiny beauty irresistible. Nonetheless, the green clad fairy has become a bit of an icon, symbolizing the magic contained within the Disney Empire.

No birthday party could be complete without the presence of the beloved character. In fact, why not make your little princess’ dreams come true by hosting a Disney Tinkerbell Party in her honour? Gather up a few of her closest friends and make it an afternoon event to remember. This is the one place where pixie dust and preparation can benefit even the most seasoned party planner.

Creating the Ultimate Party Experience

The use of colour is a key factor in setting the tone for any important event. Irridescent coloured tablecloths and backdrops give the environment an enchanted feeling. Paired up with Tinkerbell covered latex balloons , the inexpensive decorations will make the experience even more magical.

Brightly coloured Tinkerbell and Tulip plates, cups, and napkins offer a more demure side of the playful character and become a real conversation piece among both the children and the adults attending the party. Combined with Tinkerbell covered straws and pink cutlery, the winning combination will bring a smile to your daughter’s face time and time again.

Hand out goody bags featuring Tinkerbell related merchandise and handmade Pixie Dust Body Glitter. Combine different colours of glitter with clear aloe vera gel and put an adequate amount into small plastic containers for each guest. Warn the children that they cannot put the concoction in or around their eyes.

Pixie Punch and Other Enticing Fairy Treats

A Tinkerbell cake topper will put the finishing touches on a whimsical cake. Designed to match the theme, a trail of fairy; dust can follow the figurine by sprinkling a pinch or two of coloured sugar across the top of the frosted dessert. Be sure to take a lot of pictures before cutting into the elaborate creation. A scrapbook containing the highlights of the party can be easily fashioned using printed scrapbook paper embellished with Tink herself.

Serve your child’s favourite drink and cleverly call it Pixie Punch. Handcreate a special fluted glass for the birthday girl to drink out of by gluing fake leaves and imitation rose petals to the outside of a plastic champagne flute. To make the glass extra special, layer petals one on top of another. The finished product will resemble a blooming flower and make for a keepsake that your child will cherish for years to come.

Fairy Wing Making Fun

Give each child her own set of pre-cut construction paper fairy wings. On the nearest empty table, place a variety of things that the girls can use to decorate them with. Some suggestions include: stickers, glitter, foam shapes, coloured pom poms, and yarn. Once the guests are done putting the finishing touches on their wings, let them strut their stuff and model their best imitation of the ever spunky Tink.

Unlike Peter Pan, your little girl will not stay young forever. Show her how much she means to you by incorporating special little touches into an already brilliant birthday event. From the top of her head to the bottom of her tiny little toes, you will do “fairy” well when you invite Tinkerbell and her winged friends into your lives and special occasions.
